Customer Service Representative

The Customer Service Representative works in a high-performance, team-environment atmosphere to provide customer service to a group of preassigned customers types assigned to each representative.

Duties include answering telephone calls, faxes and emails from customers and consumers, in a prompt, courteous and efficient manner. Representatives reconcile customer account discrepancies (pricing, freight information, product line) by appropriately contacting/consulting with: Customer Accounts Coordinator; Order Entry Coordinator, Order Verification Coordinator; Manager of Sales/Service; Department Manager of the Field Sales Representative. The Customer Service Representative will perform related duties, as directed. 

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to present a calm demeanor during tense or stressful situations, have experience in word processing/data entry and analyzing and gathering statistical data to prepare/interpret reports, possess strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, will manage outside customers and work with internal employees. You are a self-motivated, organized individual who is proficient with the internet, possess strong computer skills and are knowledgeable with Microsoft Office and other software applications as applicable; AS400 (BPCS) knowledge, is a plus.

Programmer Analyst

Shop-Vac Corporation, the leader in wet/dry vacuums, is currently recruiting for a full-time Programmer Analyst for its Williamsport, PA corporate headquarters.

The ideal candidate will maintain and support computers and applications for user departments. You will Interact directly with management and users to analyze and specify application requirements. You will assist in the development and coordination of project plans.

Computer Skills:

  • Experience in iSeries/AS400, OS/400
  • Command Language
  • RPG ILE SQL and Query
  • Manufacturing software
  • BPCS LX
  • Spreadsheets and Microsoft product suite
  • 2-4 years experience working with personal computers
  • Basic knowledge of networks, TCPIP, DHCP
  • Virus and Spyware removal
  • Knowledge of financial applications

Bachelors in Computer Science or related curriculum, one to two years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast paced work environment.
