Official Shop-Vac® Contest Rules

1. To Enter:
No purchase necessary to enter or win prizes. To enter, provide your name, mailing address, telephone number, e mail address and your great idea for use of Shop Vac products on the official entry form at Shop Vac's web site at http://www.shopvac.com. Limit one entry per person per month. The monthly contest begins on the first day of the month, starting August 1, 2000, and closes at 11:59 p.m. U.S. Eastern Daylight Time Zone on the last day of the month, starting August 1, 2000, until Shop Vac terminates the contest in its discretion. To obtain a copy of the Official Shop Vac Internet Contest Rules, send a self addressed, stamped envelope to Shop Vac Internet Contest Rules, 2323 Reach Road, Williamsport, Pennsylvania 17701 (Residents of Washington and Vermont may omit return postage).

2. Eligibility:
This contest is void in every national, state, local, or other jurisdiction in which it is prohibited, regulated, or restricted by any law, statute, regulation, or other appropriate authority. Contest is open to legal residents of the United States who are eighteen (18) years or older at the time of entry.

3. Winner Selection:
One (1) winner will be chosen each month, beginning on or about September 3, 2000, from a judging of all eligible entries received the prior month and each month thereafter until Shop Vac terminates the contest in its discretion. Entries will be judged on originality (30%); creativity (30%); clarity (30%); and sincerity (10%). Judges will consist of members of Shop Vac. Winners will be contacted via the e mail address provided on the official entry form or by regular mail or telephone. Winners will be required to respond to prize notification within fifteen (15) days of notification or prize will be forfeited and the selection of an alternate winner will be made based upon the judge's scoring. Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received.

4. Prizes:
Winners receive their choice of either a Shop Vac 1 x 1® portable wet/dry vac with an approximate retail value of $30 or a Shop Vac All Around® with an approximate retail value of $40. Prize will be shipped to the monthly winner free of all shipping and handling charges. No substitution or transfer of prizes permitted except that Shop Vac reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if an advertised prize is unavailable.

5. General Conditions:
By entering the contest, each entrant accepts and agrees to be bound by Official Shop Vac Internet Contest Rules and by the decision of the judges which will be final and binding in all respects. Taxes, if any, on prizes are the sole responsibility of the prize winners. All prize winners may be required to submit valid identification to Shop Vac and execute an Affidavit of Eligibility, Releases of Liability and a Publicity/Advertising Release within fifteen (15) days of notification or prize will be forfeited. Contestants consent to Shop Vac's use of their names and likeness for advertising and publicity purposes, without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law. Shop Vac is not responsible for computer system, phone line, hardware, software, program malfunctions, or other errors, failures or delays in computer transmissions or network connections that are human or technical in nature. All prizes will be awarded.

6. Winner Notification:
The names of the monthly winners will be posted on the Shop Vac web site at http://www.shopvac.com and may also be obtained by sending a self addressed stamped envelope to Shop Vac Internet Contest Winners List, 2323 Reach Road, Williamsport, PA 17701 (Residents of Washington and Vermont may omit return postage).
